Bring on your best Gravy, Gumbo, Cracklins, Jambalaya, & Dessert! 

Anyone can enter from amateur to professional for a chance at prizes and bragging rights!

Categories

• Gravy (“Sauce”, Grease gravy… “that good stuff they make on thursdays at the plate lunch place”)!
• Gumbo (Gumbo is gumbo and not a gravy you should know what this is)!
• Cracklin (“Gratons”)!
• Jambalaya!
• Dessert (pie, cobbler, cinnamon rolls, sweet sweet goodness etc., cooked in cast iron)!

 

Rules

1. All dishes must be cooked in a Cast Iron Vessel - No open fires (gas or charcoal is ok).

2. One 10x10 canopy is allowed per team.

3. Each team must have a fire extinguisher readily available (not in your vehicle).

4. Participants are encouraged, but NOT REQUIRED to prepare enough food to allow festival goers to taste, within reason. (we do not provide bowls and utensils for tasting) *don’t prepare more than you are comfortable with for your recipe’s best taste; there is no minimum amount required for tasting.

5. Tasting is on a first come first serve basis and participant may stop providing samples at their discretion in order to have enough food for judges tasting.

6. Checkin starts at 9am.

7. Dishes MUST be turned in on time. All entries must be in the provided containers that correspond to the dish.

8. Winners announced 6pm (subject to change) between Saturday evening’s main stage performances
 

Prizes

There will be cash & prizes for the Winner and Runner up of each category.  

 

New this year! A People's Choice Grand Champion will be decided by public voting!

 

Sign-up info

Individual / Team Entry $80 pre-register before 10/23/24 or $100 after.

• Fee includes entry of 1 dish and 2 wristbands for the festival for Saturday only. Two additional team members can be added for $30 each if you register before 10/23/2024.  

• Any additional dishes will have an entry fee of $50.  (Does include additional festival entry)

***Please note, entering the cook-off does not include camping fee.
