We are so excited to share South Louisiana Blackpot Festival & Cook-off 2024 with you!

Taking place on Oct 25th & 26th, the festival is a highly treasured and regarded event in South Louisiana. Visitors come from all over the world to enjoy the music, food and culture happening in Lafayette.
​
Blackpot centers on morning-to-midnight performances and dancing on several stages as festival-goers are treated to a myriad of roots based music styles, past bands have included Lost Bayou Ramblers, Pine Leaf Boys, Peter Rowan, Los Texmaniacs, Ed Poullard, Horace Trahan and many more. The Revelers are the musical hosts, and some of the founding creators of Blackpot Festival, who constantly advertise the festival and Lafayette in their internationally traveling tours.
This year's artist line-up will once again include nationally acclaimed and Grammy nominated artists, as well as new talent we have discovered and want to share with our audience.

Another primary aspect of Blackpot lies in its namesake, the iconic cast iron black pot. Categories of the cookoff that display our rich culinary heritage are gravy, gumbo, jambalaya, cracklin' and dessert- all of which must be made in the iconic black pot We are expanding the cook-off this year and hope to have more prizes, distinguished judges and the most entries we have ever had.
